If you’ve walked past The Palace recently, you may have noticed we’re making some alterations to the exterior of our building. But our efforts extend far beyond the scaffolding we’re currently using for routine restoration of the historic brownstone surrounding our Madison Avenue courtyard.
As part of the $120 million renovation project we embarked on earlier this year, The New York Palace is retooling all of our exclusive Towers Rooms and Suites. We’ve finished substantial pieces of these renovations, including a set of upscale accommodations we’ve dubbed our Debut Tower Rooms and Suites. We’ve unveiled three styles of Debut Tower Rooms and Suites thus far, including Debut Tower Rooms, Debut Executive Suites and Debut Corner Suites.
Though the three new room types offer a variety of layouts ranging from 465 square feet to 1,200 square feet, each blends the signature exclusivity and luxury of The Towers with modern, forward-thinking design elements and state-of-the-art amenities. The Towers redesign, performed in league with San Francisco-based design firm BAMO, is a complete transformation of the city’s premier accommodations.
The newly renovated rooms and suites in The Towers feature modern and unique design details at every turn. Hand-laid mosaic tile floors, rain showerheads, marble countertops, bold mixed media art installations and luxe lighting accented by contemporary chandeliers are among the many unexpected elements in each of The Palace’s Debut Tower accommodations. Each room is equipped with hand-held Crestron touch-screen interfaces that control the window shades, flat-screen HD TV and front door at the touch of a button.
We’re currently in the process of completing the renovation of the entire 14-floor Towers wing, including an expansion and enhancement of The Towers’ private lobby and reception area. When we wrap up our renovations in early 2013, all 176 rooms and suites in The Towers will be officially reborn as the city’s premier upscale, modern accommodations.
After we finish perfecting The Towers experience, we’ll be making some exciting changes to our regal lobby – we’ll keep the ornate historical detail while adding some substantial new features.
