Palace Culture

At The New York Palace, we’ve had many changes during the last 30 years. There is one thing that remains the same: our commitment to our guests and team.

Like many businesses, we have a mission statement that we not only teach new employees but we live by every day: The Passion of Our People, Drives Commitment to Our Guests. We also have a list of 11 “Palace Pillars,” or directives that keep us focused and on-task

“Each day, our teams recite the 11 Palace Pillars and mission statement,” says Gus Cecchini, Director of Human Resources. “Reciting these things daily keeps our job purpose clear and top of mind.”

If you’ve been keeping up with our blog, you’ve seen the various changes that the hotel has recently undergone. In posts like The Ultimate Cafeteria Experience and Palatial Locker Rooms, we highlighted the locker rooms and dining hall that were renovated for our Palace family as a way to recognize their hard work and dedication.


In addition to updates to The Palace for our team, we also host the Superstar of the Quarter Awards. Each quarter, The Palace holds a banquet for the 25 nominated employees who have served with stellar service. During the banquet, dinner is served and the managers recognize each of the nominees. At the end of the evening, five employees are selected as the winners of the quarter and receive $200 in cash, an overnight stay at the Palace and a customized plaque. We also hold similar banquets for managers, as well as a Top Knife Awards Ceremony for The Palace chefs to continue to reward great work among our teams.
