As we approach the completion of our large-scale renovations at The Palace, we are using our blog to give guests a look at the progress we’ve made since beginning the property-wide changes.
One area of the hotel that has undergone a dramatic transformation is the new Lobby Lounge. Designed by acclaimed design and planning firm Champalimaud, the Lobby Lounge is an intimate space geared toward meeting, relaxing and enjoying great company in a space that feels singularly like New York City. Visitors and locals alike can convene in this intuitively arranged space to socialize and connect over NYC-themed drinks from Trouble’s Trust, made with locally sourced ingredients.
The Lobby Lounge’s design details are inspired by the city surrounding The Palace – at once cosmopolitan, classic, modern, and always moving forward. Dark, stately carpets feature bold, symmetric accents that complement rich wood wall details and modern chandelier light fixtures. The space is arranged with connection and socializing in mind: small two-guest tables and longer black marble tables are surrounded by plush leather chairs. The Lobby Lounge is now open daily from 11:30AM to 2:00AM.
