The Palace Knows Best: Maloney & Porcelli

New York City is full of life. From Broadway shows to gorgeous hotels to top restaurants, there is so much to see and do that it’s difficult to fit it into one trip. At The New York Palace, we’ve found that sometimes you only need to go next door to experience a New York gem.

Maloney & Porcelli, located next to The Palace on East 50th Street, is an excellent choice for American fare. This summer, we appreciated their partnership as some of our restaurant offerings were temporarily unavailable due to our renovations. Maloney & Porcelli helped make this period of time seamless for our guests by allowing them to charge meals from the restaurant to their hotel accounts. While our partnership is complete on September 23rd, we will continue to consider Maloney & Porcelli part of The Palace’s extended family.

Maloney & Porcelli is one of Chef Concierge Carolyn Innocenzi’s favorite restaurants in the area for breakfast. “I cannot get over the lobster home fries with poached egg and sweet pepper ramps,” she says. “If you’re not a fan of sauces, you can still enjoy the choron béarnaise on the side that accompanies this dish so beautifully.”

She also recommends the steak and eggs with truffle hollandaise, blueberry buttermilk pancakes with lemon curd, and the various three egg farm omelet options for a morning meal.

Dinner is just as delicious. “The chicken under the brick should not be missed, as it is outstanding,” Innocenzi says. “Every foodie guest can find something that they will love at Maloney & Porcelli.”
