As Labor Day Weekend approaches reality kicks in and we are faced with the fact that summer will be ending soon. However, at The New York Palace, we see no reason why the end of summer should mean the end of indulgence, enjoyment and relaxation.
Celebrate Labor Day Weekend with us, while taking in a few NYC treasures. Our first recommendation would be to visit the Central Park Conservancy Gardens located at 5th Ave and 105th Street as it is the ideal location for a Pomme Picnic. Be sure to pack whimsical treats, savory items and our summer line of frappes to cool you down. You could also simply stroll the gardens taking in all the history the garden has to offer or just enjoy a fun bike ride through the park.
The next all-day outing could take you to Queens, the home to The US Open, which is one of the most anticipated events of the tennis season. Fortunately, The New York Palace is not far away. The Billy Jean King National Tennis Center is just a short ride from the city by car or cab, or you can catch the E train at 5th Avenue and 53rd Street and transfer to the 7 train in Queens. Stop by Tavern on 51 for a quick cocktail before you leave for the match, or join us in the evening for a comfortable place to recount the day’s events. Tickets are still available for select matches so there’s plenty of time to be a part of the excitement.
The fashion world takes the city by storm with Fashion Week in NYC from September 4th through 11th. Runway shows include the talents of Rebecca Minkoff, Monique Lhuillier, Carolina Herrera, Badgley Mischka and many more. Events will occur at venues throughout the city. Immerse yourself in intrigue as designers show off their most enticing creations. After the runway, join us at Trouble’s Trust where the cocktails are as captivating as the couture you’ve just viewed. The modern design and red lacquer walls create the perfect ambiance to discuss the evening’s most intriguing designs.
Mark the end of summer in New York City with us at The New York Palace. The city is overflowing with possibilities for entertainment and adventure. Just because the hot weather leaves doesn’t mean the excitement leaves with it.
