Lotte New York Palace celebrates the earth every day by embracing sustainable practices, and we’re ready to welcome Earth Day with special events on-property and in the surrounding city. After pledging our support of the NYC Carbon Challenge and adopting a number of eco-friendly operational procedures, our green hotel in New York is ready to ring in Earth Day with a special Palace Hour event.
Celebrate Earth Day at Palace Hour
Palace Hour is our way of showcasing the diverse dining and culture of New York City with treats and drinks served daily in a casual, guests-only setting in our main lobby. The Earth Day edition of Palace Hour is extra special: guests have the option of switching their room’s power supply off completely to save energy while they head down to the lobby for a fresh eco- and health-friendly treat.

Stay Sustainable at Lotte New York Palace
Each and every stay at our hotel is eco-friendly and green, thanks to some of the measures we’ve taken over the past several years. Our hotel is always innovating, improving and iterating in order to provide the best possible guest experience and the least possible impact on the environment.
Lotte New York Palace is proud to take part in the NYC Carbon Challenge, a program dedicated to retrofitting for sustainability some of the city’s most prestigious private and public buildings by 2025. Lotte New York Palace – along with other member hotels from the Hotel Association of New York City – will save the city 32,000 metric tons of emissions. The hotel’s co-generated heating plant, installed in 2013, gives the hotel a head start on low-emission status.
Other eco-friendly initiatives supported by the hotel include the use of environmentally friendly cleaning products, the installation of LED lighting throughout the property, participation in a local composting program, and the use of regionally grown organic food items, when possible. Lotte New York Palace is a member of the Green Key Eco-Rating program, and is Green Key Certified with a 4-key rating.
