Rockefeller Center Plaza: A Story of Ice and Fire

In the Lower Plaza of Rockefeller Center, one of New York City’s most famous sculptures depicts a gilded, 8-ton, 18-foot Prometheus descending from the heavens to bestow fire, and thus civilization, on humankind.
